Giving Life to Every Rug
-
A rug is more than a rug. It brings a room together, adds a certain feel to a space, and often holds decades of history underfoot. At Tender Threads Rug Cleaning, we take great care of each rug that we encounter so that the beauty and freshness of each rug can bring completion to a home.
Based in Newport News, VA and serving the surrounding communities, we offer a unique blend of meticulous attention to detail and genuine care for each rug that we encounter. Whether it is a heirloom or a regularly used rug, we approach each one with the same detail, patience and care.
Area Rug Cleaning Process Based on Care
Rug cleaning is never a one-size-fits-all process and we do not operate that way. Different dyes, fibers and weaves all require different cleaning solutions. Before any cleaning occurs we perform an assessment on each rug to determine the best way to clean each rug. We determine the material, the condition and the safest and most effective way to clean the rug to give it the best possible result.
Once the assessment has been completed our cleaning processes focus on removing allergens, soils and residues that cannot be effectively removed by regular vacuuming. We use effective and gentle solutions that effectively remove soils from the rug while maintaining color, texture and structure. The result is a clean looking rug, a softer feel underfoot and a clean and natural odor instead of a heavily scented one.
Care that Preserves what is Important
Rugs are more than just decor. They can be heirlooms, investments or items acquired over time with significant meaning. Because of this our focus is not only on cleaning, but also on preservation. We know that using the wrong product or performing the wrong action on a rug can cause permanent damage so every step we take is appropriate, tested and intentional for the rug in question.
This care extends throughout all of the services we provide. We offer special care for area rugs and extra care for fine and oriental rugs that require expert handling. Regardless of the age, size or origin of your rug you can be certain that it is in the best possible hands.
Part of the Newport News Community
Being a part of the Newport News community means that we understand the pride people have for their homes. The high levels of coastal humidity, pet traffic, foot traffic and the everyday wear and tear that each of these create take a toll on rugs over time. We are well aware of the specific problems that people in this community face and how to address them. Our goal is simple. We want to help your rugs look and feel their best so that your home continues to reflect the care that you put into it.
